As an example, commercial projects with a value over $50,000 will require licensing from the LSLBC, and home projects that exceed a value of $75,000 will also require licensing. Examination for the LSLBC license is conducted over four hours using a multiple-choice test. The testing covers all aspects of heating, air conditioning, ventilation, and refrigeration.
